The Department of Immigration Services has automated the issuance of permits and passes to streamline the immigration process and meet the COVID-19 standards.

Previously, applicants made payment after the approval of the permits and passes to collect the permits and passes physically. 

Now, applicants will download the work permits and passes on the electronic Foreign National Services (eFNS) portal upon receipt of approval and payment of government fees. 

Introduction of the QR Code for Authentication

A code has also been included in the document – work permit or pass to ease the authentication process. They have taken the place of the signature and stamp.
